In the 1910 Bay City census, William F. Dreyer was living with his family just down the block at 1318 Marsac:

It shows William as born in Michigan, and works as a Stenographer in a hardware business. The 1908 - 1910 Bay City directory shows that William was a Stenographer for Jennison Hardware, living at 1318 Marsac with Frederick Dreyer. In 1907 he was a student. By 1917 he was living at 1300 Marsac., and working as an Agent for Jennison Hardware Co. (Traveling Salesman). He would continue to live here for 50 years, and continue as a salesman for just as long.
The 1920 Census for Bay City lists William living at 1300 Marsac with his wife Bess, with no children in the house, and the 1919 phone book tells us that his phone number here was 2325-R.
In 1940 Bay City Directory there is also a Wm N. listed living at 1300 Marsac, occupation student.
He continues consistently in the directories through 1967, first as a salesman for Jennison Hardware, then for Reichle Supply Co. of Saginaw, and finally with Anchor Fences. The 1960 directory lists:

The last listing appears in 1967. Obituary for William F. Dreyer appears in the Bay City Times, February 11, 1968:
Dreyer - William F. Dreyer of 1300 Marsac St. died Feb. 10, at 3:15 p.m. following a sudden illness. He had gone to a store on Broadway to make a purchase when he had the attack. he was dead upon arrival at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Bay City, Michigan, Jan. 29th, 1889 and was a lifetime resident. He was later married to the late Bess Mowat in June 1918. She preceded him in death Sept. 22, 1963. He is survived by one son, William Dreyer Jr. of Appleton Wisc., one daughter, Mrs. Betty Ann Flaskamp of Edina, Minn., 11 grandchildren, one brother Walter Dreyer of Franklin Hills, Michigan, three sisters Mrs. Carl Kist of Bay City, Mrs. George Kiester of Bay City and Mrs. Lawrence Elwell of Detroit. Mr. Dreyer was a salesman for the Jennison Hardware for many years and later was with the Reichle Supply Co. of Saginaw. He was at present associated with the Anchor Fence Co. of Detroit. Mr. Dreyer is a life member and past master of Portsmouth Lodge F. & A.M. No. 190, Bay City Consistory, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, honorary member of the Supreme Council 33 Degree Masons, No. 59 (life member), life member and past commander of Bay City Commandry No. 26 and a member Elf Khurafeh Temple of Saginaw, veteran of World War I, The American Legion Post 18, and Barracks 74, Citizens Hospital Assn., United Commercial Traveler, Bay County Conservation and Gun Club, American Bowling Congress and a life member Bay City Bowling Assn. Mr. Dreyer is at the Penzien and Vallender Funeral Home. Memorial services by Portsmouth Lodge F. & A.M. No. 190 will be held Monday at the Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be announced Monday. Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
