My Journey:

 Back
April 2006

Wow... another month, already?  I'm already late posting my monthly update.  Truth be told, I forgot.  I guess I can blame part of that on all the goings on at work, along with dissertation (making progress), spring arriving, and all sorts of other things.

So, overall again there's nothing much new to report.  My progress on the third floor bedroom remodel is coming to an end, with only a couple of big things left to do - window trim & built-ins.  This month I actually purchased furniture - bed, nightstands, and door chest.  Seemed as though I was the pickiest person in the world as I wandered for furniture store to furniture store.  Even harder was trying to describe what it was I was looking for.  Finally got a great bargain (no sales tax, free delivery, and clearance price) on a set at Dennos in Saginaw, and it was very close to what I had pictured in my head.  Better yet, it fits with the decor of the room, what with being all (solid) oak, and with a great design.  Great fit.

So these days I am mowing the grass again, and getting ready to plant some more vegetables outside.  I'd like to do some work around the pool to fancy the place up this weekend or so - time permitting.  I know that Becca wants her bedroom painted, so maybe work on that too.

The busy summer is just around the corner.
