Decker Family Association Reunion 2010

September 9, 2009

Dear Decker Family Association cousins,

As you know, the Decker Family Association has established a pattern of holding a reunion every four years, and by that schedule, we would be meeting in upstate New York later this year.

But this year, economic factors have persuaded us that it would be in the interest of the association and of many of family members to postpone our next get-together for one year.

As a result, we have scheduled our next reunion in Ulster County, New York, for October 7-10, 2010. The theme of that reunion will be Decker Life in the 1600s, and we will be learning how the family of Jan Broersen Decker lived in the Hudson Valley more than 300 years ago.

At that time, we値l hear from expert speakers about family, work, love, death and faith among our ancestors. And we値l have the opportunity to meet our cousins, share facts and stories about our family, and, perhaps, clear up some mysteries about our past. At our meeting, we値l talk about our heritage, walk where our ancestors walked, and make friends with our distant cousins.

I hope you値l be able to join us in October 2010.

We値l be sending a newsletter to all Decker Family Association members at Thanksgiving time this year, with more details about the reunion.

To ensure that you and your family members receive the newsletters about the upcoming reunion, please send us your mailing and email addresses. We値l make sure you池e in the loop as plans for the reunion take shape.

I look forward to meeting with you next year.

Sincerely yours,

Marshall Hamilton
Decker Family Association President
